Alex Lelchuk creates ceramic sculptures and teaches intuitive sculpture in Haifa, Israel.
Born in 1969 in Novosibirsk, Russia, Alex studied physics and computers until in 1993 he realized that his heart needs art and communication. He worked with clay and wood, with children and adults, developed a unique method of playing with clay with small children based on art therapy and play therapy.
His pieces are simple and lively, bold and smart. Alex loves to work with whole lumps of clay, smearing them into images, or finding new images in the movements of hand and clay.
